Rhys Robotham tells us his goals for the 2024 race season

Embarking on the journey to chase a cycling dream involves leaving behind familiar surroundings, but I firmly believe it's an essential stride forward. Over  the past 4-5 years, I've been actively competing in Australia, with some small stints in Europe in the last 2 years. However, I'm now poised to take the next significant step in my cycling career.

My aspirations for this year revolve around creating opportunities to showcase my capabilities. As a part of the development team, much of our focus will be on the National series, where my aim is to secure a spot on the podium in at least one of the races. Being a newcomer to the UK cycling scene presents its challenges, but the calendar for the upcoming year features long and demanding races, aligning well with my strengths. Leveraging the collective experience of the team and fellow riders will undoubtedly be a valuable asset as I prepare for these races.

Simultaneously, I aspire to further my development in Europe by participating in .2 races, with the ultimate goal of racing tours if the opportunity arises. With some prior experience at this level, my ambition is to hone my racecraft  and secure a position within the top 10, contributing to my overall growth as a cyclist. This journey represents a crucial chapter in my pursuit of excellence, and I am eager to embrace the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead.
