With its four-piston caliper design giving you extra braking power and modulation, the Shimano XT M8120 Disc Brake enables you to push yourself harder on the trails. The lever has reach adjustment and can be combined with I-Spec EV gear shifters.

The Shimano XT M8100 1x12 Speed shifter allows you to shift both up and down with a single lever and enjoy its instant push and pull movements as you dominate on the trails. Lightweight and responsive, it is perfect for MTB use as it gives you superior control, efficiency and concentration.

It’s the sound of perfect gear changes, of levers directing derailleurs in harmony and the feeling that resonates into your hand, letting you know that your commands are being answered.

Rapidfire Plus: Mountain bikers have used Rapidfire Plus since 1985. Rapidfire Plus is still a winning choice from a wide range of riders from XC racers to freeriders. Rapidfire Plus is suited to quick shifting, giving riders the ability to downshift three gears in one stroke.

2-Way Release: The Rapidfire Plus shifter release lever is commonly called a trigger because it is operated like a pistol, by pulling toward the grip. The release lever of Rapidfire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in this same manner but adds the ability to activate a release shift by pushing with the thumb.

Instant Release: Instant Release shifting replaces the two-stage click and release shifting you are familiar with. Instant Release shifting releases cable as soon the lever is activated, resulting in the quickest possible gear changes.

Multi Release: Previous shifting systems shifted faster in one direction than the other. Choosing top normal or low normal always meant sacrificing shifting speed in one direction. Now with Multi Release you can release shift two gears in one stroke. The result - the fastest possible shifting in both directions regardless of rear derailleur choice.

Rapidfire Plus Mono: The Rapidfire Plus Mono lever provides intuitive and simple front control that empowers riders to shift both up and down with a single lightweight and compact lever. Simple and intuitive single lever operation, quicker access and lighter front shifting enhances concentration.

Servo Wave Action: When you pull a Servowave brake lever, initial pad travel is fast, so little lever movement is needed to bring the pads into contact with the rotor. The power multiplication factor then increases rapidly at the pad-to-rim contact so more of the lever stroke is used to apply greater braking power with improved control.

Reach Adjust: The brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance from the handlebar grip to lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size, type of riding and individual rider preferences.

Ice Technologies: The fade, which can occur to disc brake rotors and pads when braking on a long downhill ride, has a negative impact on the braking performance. Shimano has adopted Ice Technologies disc brake rotor and Ice Technologies pad to realise the cooling technology for consistent performance.

Four Piston: The 4-piston caliper also allows a wider contact area for the disc brake rotor while keeping the size compact. In combination use with the Servowave lever it provides an incredible 50% more stopping power than the previous model.

One Way Bleeding: One Way Bleeding was developed for quick and easy prevention of air in Shimano’s hydraulic system. Shimano has streamlined the oil route throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from being captured in the system.
