This shifter features a Revoshift shifter, which allows you to securely grip your handlebar and twist it using your thumb and index finger to change gear. This means that you can stay focused on the ride and not have to take your hands of the handlebar. Shimano has also equipped this model with an optical gear display, so you can clearly see the gear you’ve selected. Coming complete with Shimano Index System technology, this version also uses an index mechanism built in the shifting lever for frictionless, smooth action.
